Plentifully. Literally, "were inebriated." But this expression often denotes no more than taking a moderate sufficiency, (Haydock) or making good cheer, (Genesis 43:34., and John 2:10.; Lyranus; Tirinus; Calmet) without any excess, Psalm 64:10.
